Wholesail was founded by restaurant and restaurant-tech industry veterans to facilitate enduring relationships between food wholesalers and their restaurant & grocery buyers. The product gives restaurant owners, managers, and chefs real-time access to data and insights on food costs, cash flow, and accounts payable. This is enabled by Wholesail’s invoice & payment network which syncs invoices, credits, and payments between the seller’s and buyer’s bank account and accounting system.
About the Role
As the Senior Account Executive, you will be focused on identifying and closing new business within a territory, but also act as a business leader managing the market. You will report to the Head of Sales and will also spend time working cross-functionally with product, design, engineering and the executive team. You will be closely involved in developing the sales and go to market strategy, monitoring key metrics like customer engagement and transaction volume, and actively selling the service to restaurants, retailers, and food distributors. Together with the product team, the Senior Account Executive will be responsible for the success of the entire Bay Area market.
Target, identify and sell food and beverage distributors and producers.
Present customized in-person and on-line demos of Wholesail products.
Develop and execute a strategic plan for the territory’s growth.
Consistently over achieve quarterly acquisition and revenue targets.
Listen to the needs of the market and share with the Product and teams.
Build and iterate on our first market specific playbook.
Understand and adapt to ongoing product and technology developments.
Utilize Salesforce.com to run your territory, stay organized, and forecast sales activity.
Anticipate 20-50% travel depending on the local market.
3+ years experience in sales with a proven track record of consistently attaining quarterly revenue metrics.
Innate curiosity, tenacious and results-driven.
Self-motivated and able to perform well under pressure and against bold goals and deadlines.
Skilled at presenting new points of view to customers that reframe and challenge the way they view their business.
Passionate about technology and technically savvy.
